Rules and regulations

RAWBIKE is a type approved as a moped class 2 and can therefore be used in all European countries. The L1e-A vehicle category is completely new and therefore the rules that apply to this category in each country vary.   • Belgium
    L1e-A mopeds like RAWBIKE need not be registered in Belgium. Currently, the only requirement is that the driver must always have the Certificate of Compliance (CoC) with them.
  • France
    RAWBIKE owners must register their RAWBIKE at the local traffic office. You need the certificate (CoC) that comes with the bike and a stamped and signed invoice when you go to the traffic office. RAWBIKE Sweden sends a stamped and signed invoice to you.

    When registering, you must complete and submit a 13750 CERFA form. After registering your RAWBIKE, you must get liability insurance. The insurers will use different vehicle categories, so say that the bike is an electrically assisted bike with a maximum speed of 25 km / h falling into the L1e-A category. The drivers must have a valid driving license.
  • Germany

    RAWBIKE owners must obtain Elektro leichtmofa insurance. Several insurance companies offer Elektro leichtmofa insurance. The insurer issues a new license plate every year. The cost of insurance is usually between € 20 and € 80. The driver must have a valid driving license.
  • Netherlands
    You must have a temporary registration document and you need to submit it to a post office where you need to register the bike in your name (you must be able to identify yourself). Registration costs 10 €. RDW. You must then take your vehicle license to a license plate supplier to purchase a new sign. After registering your RAWBIKE, you must obtain a liability insurance. The insurers will use different vehicle categories, so say that the bike is an electrically assisted bike with a maximum speed of 25 km / h falling into the L1e-A category.   • UK
    RAWBIKE owners in the UK must complete a DVLA registration. You can find information on how to complete the registration below.

    DVLA registration

    Request a DVLA V267 and V55 / 4 form.
    You must submit it by mail to the following address on the DVLA V55 / 4 form:
    Finished V55 / 4 form
    Completed V267 form
    Check or post orders for £ 55
    Copy of an identification document
    Copy of a document confirming your address
    Copy of the Conformity Certificate (CoC) that comes with the bike

    DVLA takes up to 30 days to register the cycle and informs you when the registration is complete. When the cycle is registered, it must carry a license plate.
